come on out to the Farris Center for the 6 pm tipoff between the Sugar Bears and Sam Houston St., which is currently the last place team in the western division...HOWEVER, Sam did beat up on NW St. 77-66 last night in Huntsville, so they are actually the hotter of the 2 teams coming into play tomorrow night.

Sam comes in 5-18 overall and 2-8 in conference play, their lone wins coming against McNeese and NW St. UCA is now 9-13 overall and 3-7 in SLC play.

That's your preview, I got a ton of stuff to do and not a lot of time to do it in.

They do have 4 players listed over 6'...with the tallest being at 6-3. So they might be right. They have a 6'3...a 6'2...and two 6'1s. But with the exception of the 6'3. I'd say looking over their roster, we're pretty comparable size wize. They have more over 6 foot, but our 2 that we have are 6'2. I would think we would have the advantage at the guard/forward position with Caronica, Renita, Allyson and Mariesha though. Sam only has 3 seniors, just like UCA.

So that is a little more indepth report. I have no numbers to throw out though, becasue frankly, I'm feeling lazy today, I'm tired!

SHSU women fall to UCA 73-68 tonight in Conway, AR...

Glad the Kats put a good effort on the road. Kats are going to have to win on the road sometime, but atleast the games are competitive...

GREAT win last night for the Sugar Bears! That win pushed them to double digit wins on the season, they are now 10-13 with still a very realisitic shot at finishing .500 or better! They are also 4-7 in the SLC and tied for 3rd in the East now with the win and the fact everyone else in the division got beat yesterday except I never got a SELA score)

4 players in double figures for the Sugar Bears, a very balanced night scoring wise despite shooting a semi low number percentage wise. UCA was helped out by numerous 2nd and 3rd chance opportunities given to them by Sharece Love, Shannon Oden, Alex Velazquez and others.
It was a good win looking forward to the last 5 games of the season, and all 5 games within the division.
