Did that cracker-jack of an announcer say what the attendance was?

If he did, I didn't hear it.

Attendance was poor. It was a 6:00 game for one thing.

But there's no doubt the team played some of its best basketball tonight. It's a shame that's all that saw it. The showed just how good they really are - if only they played that way every game.

They shot the ball very well tonight too.

I couldn't make the game tonight, but I got to hear it! Wow! Crowd sounded like a tidal wave of silence. Minus that one group chanting something. Great run in the second half when they were up by 6..big 3 pointer by Sample to get them up eventually by 11. 4-8 on the night! Can't ask for better than that! ....yes 8-8, but you get my point. Let's cheer on those sugar bears as they close out the season soon!

as I stated in the previous thread, that was the best game I have seen the Sugar Bears play all season long, from tip until the final horn. Had they not shot 25% from the field they would have beaten SELA in Hammond last month. The girls came out tonight and looked like and played like they had a chip on their shoulder. Whether they did or not, I don't know, but the heart, hustle, and pride they showed last night was outstanding!

They took care of the basketball, only committing 11 turnovers, which is about 7 or 8 less than their season average. They outrebounded SELA for the evening, and played defense very, very well all the way around the board. If the girls play like that the last two games, they will finish the season on a 4 game win streak and finish .500 in their first ever D1 season.
