RaeShara’ Brown of Little Rock, Ark., has signed a letter of intent to play for the Missouri women’s basketball team.
Brown is a 5-foot-8 guard who was named the MVP of the Arkansas Class 6A state championship game after she led Parkview High School to its third title in the last four years. She was named all-state all four years and scored more than 1,600 points in her career.
"We are very excited to have Rae Rae join our program," Missouri Coach Cindy Stein said. "The areas that I was most impressed with Rae Rae are her tenacious defense and competitiveness and her ability to find a way to score. She is a natural leader and her versatility at the guard positions is an asset to how we want to play next year. Rae Rae is also an extremely gifted student and takes academics very seriously.
"I would also like to compliment" assistant "coach Matt Daniel for his diligence in recruiting Rae Rae."
This brings Missouri’s total number of signees since the fall period to six. The Tigers’ initial five-member class was rated the 25th-best in the nation and second in the Big 12 according to Blue Star Basketball.
