INJURIES BRING EARLY END TO CAREER FOR ADAIR

CONWAY — The thrill of victory, the team camaraderie, the grueling schedule and physical demands – it’s all part of the experience of intercollegiate athletics.
It’s what student-athletes, by and large, live for. Sometimes, however, they find that school of thought a little shortsighted, and realize what lies beyond that five-year window of competition is even more important.
The news was disappointing – though not necessarily shocking – for head coach Matt Daniel, who now has the nation’s most inexperienced team with a total of three combined years of Division I experience on this year’s roster. The Sugar Bears now have 10 players available for the remainder of the season, including six freshmen, two sophomores and two juniors – both junior college transfers.
