The Sugar Bears, now 8-2 and on an 8 game winning streak, take off on another long 2 game road trip vs. 2 sets of Cougars to finish out 2009.

Tuesday night the girls play at Chicago State (4-10). 7 pm tip off, with pregame beginning at 6:45 on The Bear 91.3 and UCAsports.com. CSU has lost 4 in a row, but their last victory came by 14 vs Texas A&M-CC on a neutral floor.

The next game will be on Thursday afternoon at 2 pm @ Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, who we beat at home last season.

Could not get to internet to listen to game...what happned in 2nd half?


If Herbert scored 29, why would SBs shoot 28 3s? Did CSU change to zone in 2nd half?

Against the Lady Cougars’ zone defense, the Sugar Bears attempted 28 3-pointers – their second highest total of the season – hitting nine (32.1 percent).

Megan Herbert had game highs with 29 points and 13 rebounds to extend her UCA record double-double streak to 11 games. Micah Rice had 10 points and a career-high 9 assists. Marci Moffitt and Desiree’ Rogers each had 9 points for the Sugar Bears.
