As usual, I was there live in the building. Great energy from everyone that was there. To have a great crowd like that in the middle of the week, really fantastic. Pat on the back and high fives on that. Purple Rage was rocking all night. Love to see that. The Sugar Bears are the hottest in the Southland Conference right now. Not even close. I am happy about tonight and the previous games. The team is doing so well. Let's say we all show up Saturday afternoon and support as they defeat Sam Houston State. I will be there for sure. Enjoy this victory tonight. VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

SUGAR BEARS DOMINANT IN HANDING LAMAR FIRST SOUTHLAND LOSS
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL • Feb 3, 2010

CONWAY — Prior to tipoff, Central Arkansas freshman forward Megan Herbert was recognized for her double-double streak of 21 games, the second longest ever in NCAA Division I women’s basketball.

The applause started then, and didn’t stop until the gym cleared.

The crowd of 1,411 in the Farris Center had plenty to cheer about all night as the Sugar Bears dominated nearly the entire game in soundly defeating Lamar, who entered the game undefeated in Southland play, 92-77.

“I tell you what – that’s a great win,” said UCA head coach Matt Daniel, whose team has now improved by 10 wins from last season. “That’s the best team we’ve played all year. It was a great win, a great crowd and a great team effort.”...

Sugar Bears get benchmark win against Lamar
Posted: February 3, 2010 - 11:25pm
By David McCollum

The University of Central Arkansas Sugar Bears added punctuation to a big signature Wednesday night.

Hitting almost on all cylinders offensively and defensively and placing five players in double figures, the UCA women posted their biggest Southland Conference victory in their four years in the league and handed Lamar University its first league defeat, 92-77, before 1,411 at the Farris Center.

It was the first defeat for the Lady Cards (17-5, 7-1) to a non-BCS school. Their other four defeats were to Texas A&M, Baylor, Texas Tech and Minnesota, all decisively. They had won seven in a row...

I really do want to applaud the crowd who came out last night. Not only were they counted as 1400 strong, but most actually stayed until the end of the game AND made noise throughout! The atmosphere was truly a good one for this young team. I hope many, if not all of them, who came last night will please come back for our final 4 home games the remainder of the season, starting Saturday afternoon against Sam Houston St.

The girls played at a high level the entire game, obviously! I was impressed they played under control and with poise the entire night. And the confidence on, and off the floor with this bunch right now is growing, still, every day. Its kinda fun to start thinking about the future of this group and program, even though that is still dangerous to do at this time with 8 games to go in this season! But last night was pretty enjoyable to put it mildly!

dude ... the Internet stays open late. Come to game, then resume your job search afterward.

Or come to a game and go beg everybody there for a job during timeouts and halftime.

Easy enough.
