DANIEL ADDS FORMER MISSOURI PLAYER BROOKS TO STAFFQuote:
CONWAY — University of Central Arkansas women’s basketball coach Matt Daniel announced Wednesday the hiring of Tiffany Brooks, one of his former players, as the Sugar Bears’ newest assistant coach.
Brooks, who played three seasons at Missouri including two under Daniel during his tenure there, comes to UCA following a year as an assistant at North Iowa Area Community College.
“I’m ecstatic that Tiffany has accepted the position,” said Daniel, the 2009-10 Southland Conference Coach of the Year. “I took a lot of time evaluating and figuring out the direction we wanted to go with that spot, and this was undoubtedly the right choice. I’m excited that she’ll be a part of our program.”
It will be the first Division I experience for Brooks, who graduated from Missouri in 2007 and pursued a professional playing career before coaching last season at NIACC.
Welcome to UCA!
