CONWAY — After a thrilling one-point victory in overtime against Southland Conference leader McNeese State on Saturday, Central Arkansas will host its second straight East Division game Wednesday night when the Sugar Bears take on Northwestern State at 7 p.m.

The game is the second of three in a row at home for UCA, which will also host UT Arlington on Saturday.

The Sugar Bears (13-7, 5-2 Southland) have won consecutive games and have been victorious in five of their last six, and are currently sitting in third place in the division behind 6-1 McNeese and 5-1 Lamar. They will be looking for their 10th home win of the season and will attempt to go 6-2 in the league for the second consecutive year...

Internet only broadcast tonight, 6:45 pregame on UCAsports.com. Fun fact, the LADY DEMONS of Northwestern State are in their 37th season of basketball and are currently sitting on 666 wins all-time...

I see some disturbing trends developing with this team.

Too many unforced turnovers.

Players out of control.

Poor clock management resulting in having to throw up desperation shots.

And WAY TOO MANY 3 point shots from players who simply are not shooters.

We have two players now (Megan and the freshman) who have the potential on most nights in the SLC to really dominate inside and yet we are jacking up threes like they are going out of style.
