SLC Semis #3 UCA vs. #2 Lamar

The 20-10 Sugar Bears who have won 5 in a row, will get 1 more crack at Lamar on Thursday afternoon. After the Opening Round win over #6 SFA 64-58, the #3 Sugar Bears will face off against the #2 seed Lamar Lady Cards at 12:05 p.m. in Semifinal game #1. Airtime for those not able to attend, will begin at 11:45 a.m. on The Bear 91.3 and UCAsports.com.

#2 Lamar, the defending SLC Tourney champs, squeaked out a last minute win over #7 Northwestern State in Game 1 yesterday 81-77. Lamar has beaten the SB's in both games they have played this year, 77-67 @ Lamar and then 60-56 @ the Farris Center.

Looked up the team's records..impressive to say the least!

McNeese 24 - 6
Lamar 25 - 6
UCA 20 - 10
UTSA 16-14

Total 85 -36
( Four of UCA's losses were by 1 (OT), 5, 4 and 4)

So If the SugarBears get by 25 - 6 Lamar they will probably have to play (soon to be) 25- 6 McNeese. :shock:

And if I am not mistaken, McNeese State's only conference loss was to? . . . That's right, our Sugar Bears! Someone correct me if I am wrong. Not wanting to count the chickens yet, but it is well within our reach to reach the Big Dance in our first year of eligibility. Go Ladies!!! =D>

Anyone know if we will be able to watch it "online"? I know channel 98 in Conway will have it but some of us have to work and have computer access. :mrgreen:

UCA got out to a pretty good start, but Lamar came back. UCA is looking out of sync the last few minutes. Herbert and Plumley (Lamar) already have 2 fouls each.
