CONWAY — Former University of Arkansas guard Chrisstasia Walter has enrolled at Central Arkansas, joining the Sugar Bears basketball program after playing one season with the Razorbacks.

Walter, a 5-foot-8 guard who was a two-time all-state performer at Arkansas High in Texarkana, will have three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out the upcoming 2011-12 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

"We are looking forward to having Chris be a part of our program," UCA head coach Matt Daniel said. "I believe her redshirt year will be beneficial as she continues to try and grow academically and as a person. I also believe that this program, this university and this community are just the people who can help her do that."...

Should be a good add. She was quite a high school athlete and competitor. One year of SEC experience should help a lot. Welcome to UCA.
