WITH SEASON NEAR, DANIEL DISCUSSES SCHEDULE, OFFSEASON

Quote:
CONWAY — In less than two weeks, the Central Arkansas women's basketball program will begin its 2011-12 season at home with the two highest-profile teams to step foot into the Farris Center – Indiana in the Nov. 11 season opener, followed by Alabama four days later on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

After a disappointing conclusion to last season with a blowout loss in the Southland Conference tournament championship game and a close defeat at home in the WBI to eventual champion UAB, the Sugar Bears entered the offseason with no shortage of motivation.

with the football Bears taking on Texas State the next afternoon on 'The Stripes', I am really hoping that a lot of people will come out a night early and come watch the Sugar Bears take on the first BCS school to enter the Farris Center (a th least I think that's right). At the end of last regular season, we set a Sugar Bear record in attendance for the WBI game vs. UAB, and there's no reason why we cant break it again next Friday night, and the following Tuesday against Alabama. Opportunities like this dont come around every day, for either the men or the women mind you, with the likes of Indiana or Alabama coming to play inside the FC, so let's give these girls some support for these first 2 home games!

There lies a thin line between genius and insanity, and Daniel is unsure on which side the schedule's architect stands.

"I don't know who the guy in charge of putting that schedule together is," he said. "But he either needs to be fired or given a raise."

From a fan's perspective, I'm inclined to go with genius on this years schedule. =D>

we also get the likes of Eclessia, Paul Quinn, Central Baptist, Philander Smith and UAPB in the Farris Center. I don't know about you, but those games get me excited

1. Picture in the back of their lockers. "Typically, we put up a portrait of them, make it look like a Nike ad or whatever. This year we just put up a picture of the scoreboard at the conference tournament finals, McNeese celebrating and us walking off the floor. I think seeing that image every day has had the biggest impact on us this offseason."
