Alright, so after the game one win over Indiana, how do the Sugar Bears look to do in game 2 vs Alabama? Tipoff is at 7 pm, pregame begins at 6:40 on The Bear 91.3 and UCAsports.com.

The Crimson Tide is coming off a 72-51 win over Nicholls State, Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa. Bama was up 29-25 at half before pulling away in the 2nd half. They have a great Sr guard in Ericka Russell. Their Soph forward, Kaneisha Horn, was injured in preseason and is out, I think, for the whole season, she avg. nearly 9 points and 6 rbd a game as a FR last year.

The Sugar Bears are still looking to knock off a SEC school, 0-4 all-time coming into Tuesday's game. The crowd Friday night was phenomenal, and Im hoping there will be nothing short of that same environment tomorrow night as well when Bama gets to town.

Bama is more athletic, we will have to do a better job
of controlling the tempo but this team can do it.

yes they are. This should be a pretty even matchup I'd say after our experience there last season. Their coach has figured out that the FC is a pretty tough place to play:
Quote:
"Central Arkansas is a really good basketball team," said Alabama head coach Wendell Hudson. "We need to continue to maintain intensity and generate our own energy. We talked to the team about coming out in this game how we played in the second half against Nicholls State. It ought to be an exciting place to play as they have a great crowd."

Sounds like he talked to his fellow coach from UAB.

CRIMSON TIDE COMES TO TOWN TUESDAY
11/14/2011 4:54:00 PM

CONWAY — After beginning the season in grand fashion on Friday with their first-ever win over a major-conference opponent in Indiana out of the Big Ten, the Central Arkansas women's basketball team will look to make it two in a row on Tuesday when the Sugar Bears welcome the Alabama Crimson Tide to the Farris Center.

"Friday night was a great night for us with a good win in front of a large crowd – but that was Friday night," said UCA head coach Matt Daniel. "None of that means a thing Tuesday night when we tip it off against the University of Alabama at 7 p.m. We have to come back and do it all again – all of us. Our team has to play extremely well, and we need that same crowd we had Friday to come out and continue to build on the environment we had against Indiana."

The game will be the second meeting between the teams, with Alabama overcoming an eight-point first-half deficit to win 87-76 last season in Tuscaloosa. The Tide went on to finish last season with an 18-15 record and advanced to the round of 16 in the WNIT.

"They're a very talented and athletic group," Daniel said. "We saw that first-hand last year. We battled with them for quite awhile, but eventually their athleticism and depth caught up to us. In addition to what they've brought back from last year, they've added some highly sought-after kids – both freshmen and junior college transfers – and will present plenty of challenges for us. But we'll be as prepared as we can, play as hard as we can, and see where we stand after 40 minutes."...

I just saw on Facebook that Bama is bringing 3 fan/student buses to Conway for the game tonight! We need ALL Sugarbear fans to pack the Farris Center and cheer on the Sugarbears!

If all the Sugar Bears are going to do is rain 3 pointers...Coach needs to get
Westin in the game. 0-7 already.

21% from the field, 7% 3pointers. Still ahead 24-20 at the half. The Sugar Bears
can win this one. They need to get an inside game going. Just a little bit will help.

We've struggled inside, but at least can draw a foul there.

Sugar Bears win 58-46 over Bama. Identical score against Indiana 58-46.
How ironic...Great job Sugar Bears.

Great win. The Sugar Bears really out-hustled Alabama and did a good job forcing turnovers.
