Awesome accomplishment for the Sugar Bears! As of the time of this posting, they are actually #1 on RealTimeRPI.com Daily RPI! Nice to get some exposure for the program at least for a little while at the start of the season.

#1 in the NATION. Just to be mentioned up there speaks volumes of the turnaround and building up of this program over the last 3.5-4 years.

Sadly this ranking will drop substantially by just playing Paul Quinn

That's ok as long as we beat them!

Hopefully there is not a Philander Smith virus hanging around the Farris Center.

The 2-0 Sugar Bears take on Paul Quinn tonight at 7 at the Farris Center, pregame at 6:40. This is the start of a big week for the girls. This is game #1 of 4 over the next 7 days. After tonight, they'll take on ULM, Texas Tech and UMKC in Lubbock, TX, on Friday (6 pm), Saturday (1 pm), and Sunday (12 noon) respectively.

ULM has lost to SFA and Lamar already this season. In fact, Southeastern La will be the only SLC school they wont face at some point this season. But first things first tonight, PQC at 7 pm. And thats quite literally all I know about them other than they are an NAIA school from Dallas, and their nickname is the Tigerettes.

The Sugar Bears (3-0) ran out to a 38-18 halftime lead, then pulled away in the second period by outscoring the Tigerettes, which compete in the NAIA's Red River Athletic Conference, 54-17.

Nice job ladies! Now on to a busy week!

Looks like Saturday is going to be a busy day for UCA fans. The Sugarbears tip off against #19 Texas Tech at 1, and the Bears playoff game is at 2.

CONWAY — Central Arkansas spread the wealth on Monday, registering 27 assists on 38 baskets and had 10 players log at least 14 minutes as the Sugar Bears overwhelmed Paul Quinn College 92-35 in the Farris Center.

"I think we did what we were supposed to do," said UCA head coach Matt Daniel. "I just wish we would have done it with more intensity. I didn't like the intensity in the first half, but we settled in later. We didn't really know what to expect. There was not a lot of film on them, and that made it hard to prep on what the game plan should be. But we did a better job in the second half and took care of our business."

UCA got double-doubles from juniors Megan Herbert and Chantel Moss, with Herbert getting 12 points and 10 rebounds in 22 minutes for her 49th career double-double, and Moss posting career highs of 10 and 10 in 25 minutes for her first as a Sugar Bear...

As far as I know right now, UCA football will air on both The Bear 91.3 and UCAsports.com and the Sugar Bears will be an internet only broadcast beginning at 12:40.
