That's good to see, our opponent after next, High Point is receiving votes as well as SFA. Lamar is 25th and McNeese is 13th, they've won 7 or 8 in a row after losing to UCLA in game 1 of this season by only 8 or 9 points out in Los Angeles.

We play UTMartin Saturday at home at 2. This will be a great matchup between 2 very good teams.

SUGAR BEARS UP TO 21 IN MID-MAJOR POLL; DANIEL, HERBERT DRAW RECOGNITION
12/7/2011 10:46:00 AM

CONWAY — The Sugar Bears continue to earn recognition around the country, this week making a move up in the mid-major poll and grabbing a couple of headlines in women's college basketball news.

The Sugar Bears, who are 6-2 headed into this weekend's showdown with UT Martin – an NCAA tournament team last season – moved up four spots in this week's CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25, sliding up to No. 21. Green Bay, which is 7-0 and ranked No. 16 in the ESPN/USA Today Top 25, remained No. 1 with 29 1st-place votes, while Delaware (No. 25 in the ESPN/USA Today poll) and Gonzaga were second and third, each collecting one 1st-place vote. Princeton and Toledo round out the top five.

The Mid-Major Top 25 is a ranking system for 234 Division I teams outside of the major conferences, with independents and teams from 22 of the 32 D-I leagues given consideration. The voting panel consists of head coaches at mid-major schools from around the nation...
