Great job on one day rest.....playing a pretty good ACC team shows how far SBs have come in a short time....Megan seems to need a big challenge to get it going....I like to watch Duever as she is tenacious bu then so is Des....we are blessed with good players who play their hearts out.....

My gosh what an effort the girls gave tonight! #27 GT had a day off to get ready for us, we didnt. They hit us 8-0 before we even blinked, and then to punch them back as fast and hard we did to get a lead on them was a thing of beauty!
GT had so much more size, and what looked to be deeper bench, but our girls didnt care and just gave it all.

GT did enough to get the win, but we outscored them the final 38 minutes. Megan Herbert showed them you dont have to be 6-4 or 6-5 to beat and bang and outplay someone, but then again, we know that already.

We get 2 more home games the 30th and then Jan 2 to try to get to 10 wins before SLC play. But the girls have acquitted themselves awful well in this non-conference portion of the schedule so far.

Will Do! They're a great group to travel with to, btw. So far this season they have represented UCA very well, on and off the court.

There was a point late in the game where we were down just four (I think) with possession. And Duever missed a three. Not a huge deal until GT hit a three on the other end to push the lead to seven. We got it back to four points again, but those two possessions (our miss and their make) hurt.

Great game though. To come back from being down 15 to make it a 4-point game near the end must have been pretty tough for the GT squad. Would have been a great win!

Oh, and McNeese lost to #1 Baylor last night.
They are 9-3 with losses to #1 Baylor, #28 LSU and UCLA.
Go ahead and put January 28 @ 2:00 on your calendar to be at the Farris Center. We'll need to win that one before we head to Lake Charles two weeks later.

Disclaimer: Yes, I know that there are other games before then and you have to take them one at a time.
