Welcome to my world...this is so frustrating. We can put a man on the moon
but we can't keep a video up on the website or keep the live stats going.
Or does anyone even care?

A fantastic win, we have yet find a way to slow the Baggett twins down but we managed to keep everyone else under control. Megan was possessed from the very beginning and never slowed. Great win for the SB's.

Congrats to the SBs..these are two really good teams with headline players.....very big win to close gap in standings.....normally a 10 point lead late should hold up but good teams find ways to claw back.......rematch in LC should be another great game...

Great homestand......now off to Northwestern State for a 7pm tip on Wed...chance for a road win but nothing is for sure....Go SugarBears!!

PS....Livestats and video might have issues at time but as long as I get the game call by one of the best play by play guys in women's basketball ball, I'm fine...

Thank you guys!!!

Alright, word to the MSU radio guy(s), I dont think posting tweets like this is going to help the cause before hand, esp. when it gets into the hands of our people the night before!...

Quote:
@msucowgirlradio: MSU Cowgirl Radio @msucowgirlradio: @McNeeseWBB Cowgirls ball so hard other teams wanna be us. First they gotta beat us! What's a close game? Could you please remind us!

@msucowgirlradio @McNeeseWBB Other coaches ain't do it right if you ask me. Cause I was them I woulda guarded Cait and Ashlyn! #thisteamcray

They seem to have forgotten their now, last 3 SLC losses have all come in the Farris Center...

Ok, now to the game today. The SLC ought to be proud to have these two teams out on the floor representing them. This was a showcase game of just how good SLC women's basketball has become the last 3 years! These 2 programs are on top of their game right now. There's a reason why MSU won last year, and has won big this year, it's because they're pretty dang good, period! BUT, so are we! Both these teams battled for, not 40, but 50 minutes today, and anyone who played gave it their all. That had to be one of the best heavyweight fights I've seen in person, or has the pleasure to call, because both teams are so dang tough, resilient, can strike from any where at any time, and are truly never out of it until literally the last second is off the clock.

Both teams have players who can be/ARE stars, or hit clutch shot after clutch shot, can defend, pressure, or play their roles to a 'T.' Both programs are extremely well coached. And both programs have support that help them become successful!

A special thanks goes to the 2300+ in the FC today, what a great college basketball atmosphere for this game to be played out in! I could go on and on and on about today, but I'll end by saying, on to Natchitoches Wednesday night. GEAUX SUGAR BEARS!

SUGAR BEARS DEAL MCNEESE FIRST LEAGUE LOSS IN DOUBLE-OT THRILLER; PULL INTO TIE FOR FIRST
1/28/2012 8:25:00 PM

CONWAY — At the end of a grueling double-overtime slugfest between Southland Conference leaders Central Arkansas and McNeese State, the Sugar Bears escaped with the win thanks to one made free throw.

A McNeese State free throw.

Her team down three with 1.8 second left, McNeese guard Caitlyn Baggett stepped to the line for a pair after the Sugar Bears opted to foul late to prevent a 3-point shot attempt by the Cowgirls, who had hit 11 in the game. Baggett nailed the first, then attempted to miss the second for a shot at an offensive rebound and a score to tie or win. Instead, the second shot went through the net and the Sugar Bears were able to inbound the ball to Destinee Rogers and run out the clock to deal the Cowgirls their first conference loss of the season, winning 71-70 in two overtimes in front of 2,312 at the Farris Center.

Megan Herbert, who hit what would ultimately be the game-winning free throws with 6.8 seconds left, had a season-high 32 points and 15 rebounds for her 56th career double-double and became the eighth player in Sugar Bear history to eclipse the 1,500-point mark...
