22 to go....Duever hits 1 of 2 Ft...SBs lead 53-51...Duever then blocks shot out of bounds with 10 sec...UCA ball out of bounds with 3.5 to go.....5 sec violation gives ball back to UTA...another questionable call...

SB win 53-51..won last quarter 28-9.....wow...NEVER give up on these gals....very big road win after a terrible first half.... give UTA credit for much of that...sounds like UTA just ran out of gas trying to beat SB pressure....

Those girls are amazing! But, geez, don't make it so hard on yourself!!! The fans love the comebacks but you are going to give us all a heart attack!!!!!

UCA 14-39=53 (18-4/8-1)
UTA 30-21=51 (4-16/2-6)

Won the last quarter by 28-9 and trailed by 24 with 17:16 to go....stunning comback...UTA must have been tired at end and coud not protect the ball...Herbert really took control of game with 3s and big rebounds late...Duever had a big last few minutes as did Gowins...Des may not score much but she is always a spark of energy...bench was a big help from about 10min to 5 min allowing others to rest for a hard finish....good teams find ways to win which SBs did once again...not pretty in any sense except for the outcome and the last coule of minutes.... not much room this next week for falling behind early.....

FGs: UCA 37% v 40% (UTA only 25% in 2nd half)
FTs: 47% v 71%
3s: 26% (only 2/27)
Rebs: 33 each
TOs: 19 v 24 (UCA only 5 in 2nd half)

Megan Herbert....22/14 with 3 BIG 3s late (7/8 from field)
Courtney Duever....10/3 with great play late
Nakeia Guiden...8 pts
Des Rogers...only 5 points but great defense and a 3 that really lit the fire

Coach: to chase and win championships you have to have breaks...we have haad ours already...very frustrating with how we start games...
we stole a road win today....only 5 TOs in 2nd half was big ...Chantel Moss (3 rebs) and Brittney Gowins (shot to take lead) gave good effort off the bench when really needed...

Next is Texas State, SLC/West leader at FC on Wed at 7pm...last trip to Conway for Bobcats before they join the WAC..need to greet them with a packed and loud house

The heartattack kids, if we can put two halves together,
we may set some sort of conference record. If we put
two first halves together we might loss to some pick up
ladies in the HPER building. Coach D has his hands full
with these talented but crazy young ladies.

I'll be honest, it's so much fun to be with these girls day in and day out!!! It's also so frustrating to be with these girls day in and day out! ha ha ha (yes I'm only kidding!) But you know what, it is much better, every single time, to be on the winning side of things than be on the other side like UTA, there's no question about it! 18-4, 8-1 and all alone the top of the SLC is a nice place to be!
