Okay what gives? Just checked ESPN.com to see if their stats were working. The UTA, Tx State, and NW state all had follow live options. The McNeese - UCA game listed a 2pm EST start time. Even though the game was under a min left. Is there a SID asleep at the wheel or something?

The livestats from the UCAGameday.com site were done by McNeese today and they froze up on me at halftime and never started back up no matter how many times I tried refreshing.

But who cares about that? We won and have a three-game lead in the east!

One Baggett sister got 11 and the other 0, an amazing day against these two sisters. They had 40 points two weeks ago against us at Farris. Great job ladies.

Awesome game on the road and to hold the Twins to only 11 at home is some pertty good defense..Herbert's 26/11 with 4/4 from 3s is impressive...

SUGAR BEARS TOPPLE DEFENDING CHAMPS FOR 3RD STRAIGHT 20-WIN SEASON
2/11/2012 5:06:00 PM

LAKE CHARLES, La. — In typical Sugar Bear fashion, Central Arkansas once again put together a big second half and overcame a double-digit deficit for another comeback victory – defeating McNeese State 64-53 at Burton Coliseum on Saturday to complete the regular-season sweep of the defending Southland Conference champions.

The Sugar Bears (20-4, 10-1 Southland) open up a two-game lead over the Cowgirls (17-7, 7-3) in the Southland's East Division standings, and remain the conference's overall leader with five games remaining with no other team having fewer than three league losses.

The win, the ninth in a row for UCA, gives the Sugar Bears their third consecutive 20-win season. It is the first time UCA has had three straight 20-win seasons since 2002-05.

"We've got a resilient group," said UCA head coach Matt Daniel. "It's a good team, a good family, and it's nice to come in here and steal one against another good team."...

I think one of the thing's about today's effort is the fact that due to travel problems with the original bus and not getting into Lake Chuck until around 8 on Friday night, the Sugar Bears literally did NOT practice at all on Friday or Saturday morning. That's how resilient and mature of a group this is. To go out and perform like that on the road today, against a team that has only lost 1 home game (LSU) this year despite adversity like that, and still compete and not give in when things out of their control go awry. This has been an amazing adventure so far, and they still realize there is work to be done, no one is resting on this win!

Btw, when CMD asked me postgame if I was shaking because I was excited or if I was cold, the answer was COLD! Burton was the coldest arena I have ever called a basketball game in, Corpus Christi and its ice rink included. Mid-40s outside with the air conditioning on full boar inside Burton Coliseum today. It was ridiculous, but it couldn't cool off our Sugar Bears!

Sugar Bears complete season sweep of Cowgirls
Last Modified: Saturday, February 11, 2012 8:28 PM
BY ALEX HICKEY / AMERICAN PRESS

For now, McNeese State will have to hope it truly is difficult to beat a team three times in a season.

Central Arkansas completed the regular-season sweep and put a severe dent into the Cowgirls’ chances of repeating their regular-season conference title with a 64-53 win Saturday afternoon at Burton Coliseum.

“It’s tough. We all know what a big game it was,” said McNeese coach Brooks Donald Williams. “We played almost 20 good minutes in the first half and didn’t come out in the second half with that same execution. It’s just something we’ve got to learn from. We’ve got a lot of basketball left.”...

In reference to Bear Fan 101 comments about being cold I figured that Burton Coliseum was so far south that they did not need heat. It was very cold in there. Pregame warm ups the Baggett twins and LeComb were not missing behind the arc. I was glad they cooled off during the game but I should give credit to the Sugarbears defense because it was excellent,

Glad you got to come out and see the girls play, and WIN in McNeese! Hope you've warmed up a little bit since leaving that arena.
