This is a tough first round draw...cowgirls are historically good program. The
Sugar Bears will have to play their best game of the season to win. If Desiree
is still out, this will be a tough task. Congrats on the bid. I know the girls will
give it their best and represent UCA with class like always.

Yes, both teams are very different...in opposite ways! We are much improved and the are much worse. In 2006-2008, they finished 27-8 and advanced to the 3rd round of the NCAA tournament! I'm thinking that the outcome of this game will be very different than that season!

CONWAY — For the second straight year, Central Arkansas will extend its season with a postseason tournament berth, making its Women's NIT debut on Friday when the Sugar Bears travel to Stillwater, Okla. to take on Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

After making an appearance in the WBI last season in their first year eligible for D-I postseason play, the Sugar Bears (24-6) guaranteed themselves a spot in this year's WNIT when they won the Southland Conference championship with a 14-2 league record.

Their NCAA Tournament hopes ended with a loss to Nicholls State in the Southland Conference tournament last week, but their season continues in the 64-team tournament that features 36 teams with 20 or more wins, with five teams in the RPI Top 50 and 36 in the Top 100.

The Sugar Bears are 31st of the 64 WNIT teams with an RPI ranking of 90, which is also the second best in the state behind the University of Arkansas. It also ranks higher than eight of the 64 teams in the NCAA field, which UCA went 3-1 against this season...

That's very cool. Man, I wish there were more post-season tournaments like that for volleyball.

Congrats to the Sugar Bears - your hard work and dedication have really paid off. Time to show the folks in Stillwater what UCA basketball's all about!

Let's not forget OSU suffered a great loss last year just a county across from us.
