On paper, a very good hire by Teague. Glad to see that he went with someone with a track record of being a head coach at a formidable school with a history of a very good women's program.

I don't see any backstepping at all in this hire. Good pick.

GREAT HIRE.

Coach Daniel and his staff did a great job of turning around the program in a short time. I believe Coach Rushing can even improve on that success. She is an experienced and energetic winner. Welcome to UCA.

I hope Tony and the rest of the staff have continued success.

Our thanks to Matt for re-starting a winning tradition and welcome to Sandra, who we hope takes us to new heights!

Anybody getting any good sound for the press conference stream? Must be my poor internet connection. Hopefully the video will be posted afterward.

No. They tweeted that they were having audio problem, but the press conference would be posted in its entirety later.

Coach Rushing will be a good addition to the University and we really need some strong women head coaches.

Brad knows this lady very well from his DSU connections and MS background. A really impressive resume and won/lost percentage. I am excited about having her.

Anyway I thought the timing of the whole thing was bad by Coach Daniel...
kinda left us in a lurch, but I understand his desire to advance and I am
greatful to him for his time at UCA. He did an outstanding job and I wish
him well. Having said that, Dr. Teague made another good hire in getting
Coach Rushing and I would like to welcome her to Conway. I know she
will continue the tradition of Sugar Bear Basketball.

Brad knows as an AD he has to his List of 3 for any coachng spot ready to go after at any time...this looks like a very fine hire......I would think the players should be very excited.....put good teams on the court and fans show up.....Brad can work on promotion...Coach Sandra needs to work on getting team ready to win SLC and getting to NCAAs ..

Wonder how this affects in-state recruiting?

I understand what you are saying here but at this level of competition and for the amount of money that donors are putting into the athletic programs, I don't agree with your statement. We need the best available person available for the job no matter the gender.

Gender equality might be pc at lower levels of competition for various reasons but not on my dime at this level.

BTW, as I've stated previously, a great hire of a coach - based on her record, not her gender.

It doesn't affect it as much as the Arkansas Media still thinking we are
D2...and still using our old logo.

I just wonder if Coach Rushing gets into some living rooms we would not otherwise have been invited? Still got to recruit Texas.
