2012-13 Preseason Awards, Rankings, etc

1st Preseason type awards, all-SLC teams have come out on various websites, looks like national people are already in love with ORU.

But #11 was named Preseason Mid-Major player of the Year here:

The great thing about this (besides it obviously being preseason) is somehow on the SLC poll, Megan wasnt named POY, BUT by the same people/website, she was named Mid-Major POY. Hmmm...

Another side note: Heather Butler from UTM, who the Sugar Bears will face on the road on December 1, has been named to the 2012-13 preseason State Farm® Wade Trophy watch list. (The Division 1 National Player of the Year Award)
Somehow she only managed to be voted 3rd Team Preseason All-Mid Major Team, by the same poll done College Sports Madness people.

Butler is only a Jr, and best I can tell from this list: (http://www.wbca.org/blog/index.cfm/2012/9/18/Baylors-Brittney-Griner-headlines-201213-preseason-Wade-Watch-list/) she's also the only one from a mid-major school listed to this point.

"It's not where you're picked that means anything – it's where you actually finish.
