Nicholls State will be a handful. Wins over New Orleans (2), Miss Valley, ULM (by 25), La-Lafayette, Southern Utah and Alabama State.....losses to Depaul (by 30), Texas Tech (by 30) and Arkansas State.

They play Texas Southern on 12/29 on the road.

Alisha Allen and KK Babin lead in scoring with about 13 ppg and 50% FG%. Allen shoots 51% FGs but only 65% Fts...Babin shoots 38% 3s and over 80% FTs.

Overall a pretty good shooting team with 42% FGs, 30% 3s and 71% FTs...solid rebounding but a little short on offensive rebs. TOs have been abit of an issue at 19-20 pg.

Keep Babin off the FT line, guard her on 3s, make Allen work for FGs and keep the TOs down seem to be game keys. Hope Micah is back able to play this week.

SBs lead 37-21 at half...time to put the hammer down after half....great job so far...

so far 48% FGs and 44% 2s with 71% FTs...more important only 7 TOs vs 12 for Nicholls.....

First SLC win for Coach and first SLC road win.....

Herbert scores 33 and gets 71st DD (NCAA D1 active career DD leader).. also sets SLC All-Time Made FT record at 554...4 for 4 DDs at Nicholls gym in her career...

Duever added 18...another solid game...

Herbert: We had a chip on our shoulder aftter losing to 20 to Nicholls in tourney.... Babin and Allen are great players and we had to focus on them.....still had out TOs and dumb mistakes but ran our offense and made good passes...hard place to play and NSU always plays hard at home...

Coach: How bout them SugarBears? Really happy with our effort......overall team effort...very happy with Rogers' defense on Babin and good defense buy Duever...any conference road winn is huge....got to rest and get ready for SELA now.....
