Tip at 2pm

Lady Lions scorched 81-62 in opening SLC game. SELA now 7-5/0-1 and 3-1 at home.

SELA shot 40% FGs and NO 3s......lost rebounds by 37-31 ...still had five in double figures.....

Best wins so far are UNO (2) with other D1wins over Alcorn, Jackson State and Florida A&M...

Losses to Baylor, Alabama, Mississsippi (95-85) and Southern plus ORU...

Shooting YTD is about 41% FGs and 70% FTs but only 27% 3s....pretty good rebs at 41 v 37....lots of TOs at avg of 21 v 19.....holds opponents to 33% 3s.....

Top scorers so far are Aja Gibson and Brandi Simmons both at 11-12 ppg....four others avg 8-9 (Nanna Pool hits 55% FGs) .....pretty balanced....Cortney Epting leads with 57% 3s and Symone Miller at 54%.....Simmons avg 10+ rebs pg.....Elizabeth Styles shoots 79% FTs (scored 21 att Ole Miss) but leads with 4+ TOs....

SBs win 76-60.....another very good road win and trip.......congrats to the team...now 9-4/2-0 and Herbert gets 72nd DD....Gowans shoots light out from 3 for career high 23...
