Well what does everyone think about tonights game for both squads... I heard that the UTSA guys team comes into tonights game like 4-10 on the year!

The bears will be playing on AM 1230 KCON tonight, while the sugarbears will be on 91.3 FM KUCA and 88.3 KABF

I also heard today that after both games are over with tonight there will be a call in post game show on 91.3 and the internet. I guess its something new to add to the broadcast.

I'll be listening on the drive home.
It's hard to predict what's going to happen against these opponents we've never seen before. It's also been hard to predict how our team is going to play (ie. Miss. Valley / Bucknell).

I think that they guys will be able to pull it off and get the win, I looked at the other teams schedule and I don't think they have one road win all year (of course it has been against some pretty stiff competition) but like trey said..it is hard to predict these teams this year with all of the unknowns from the new conference.

Best crowd I've seen at the Farris. Not real loud, but a good crowd to watch the first men's confrence game in the Southland. Good win Bears!

Good active crowd. Two scrappy defensive squads, well-coached and some good hard-nosed basketball.

We hopefully can all come out Saturday at 6. According to the power ratings the opponent is the second-best team the Bears have played to date ! Tough duty but the coaches will, I think, have the Bears ready to play.

Proud to have cheered the boys on.

I was very impressed by the crowd's size tonight. Hopefully the size will continue to increase, but also that the noise will increase substantially with it.

Quote from the story on the front page ...

UCAFans.com Senior Staff Writer wrote:
"It's awesome to get our first crack here at home," Chappell said. "It felt like a college atmosphere - a division one atmosphere.

I guess that explains why the Bears were able to play with so much more energy than the opposition. I hope they're hooked.

I thought it was odd when I read it as well. Maybe Chappell was misquoted, but the DemGaz story doesn't use the same quote so we may never know. It all comes down to the LogCabin.

Nice win UCA! Glad you folks are getting a win under your belt. Many more to come!

I'm doing my College Hoops 2K7 season and UCA is 2nd in the SLC to Sam Houston State. Lamar is in the gutter, which is funny...
