If Johnson is a senior, you will have only one player over 6-6 next season. Any height on the way? :?:

You don't need height if you can jump out of the building like this 7th grader!

Rand told me the other day when he stopped by the general store to fill up with gas, that they are on some pretty good players. Said he is looking at some jucos and high schoolers, however, he would be specific and I don't blame him.

I really think we do need a big man and for a lack of a better term, a go to guy. One that is not afraid to take over a game when its on the line.

Speaking of height, I am guessing that Rand and the Staff are on the recruiting trail. Are there any prospects we are looking at yet? Someone out there that can keep us updated on the process?

I usually see Rand several times during the recruiting period when he stops at the store to fill up with gas, but man he is tight-lipped about things when it comes to recruiting. Can't say that I blame him.

I would be surprised if they sign anyone on signing day. Traditionally they don't, but with the move up that may change somewhat.

I'll quiz Rand and his coaches next time they are by here. Like I said, they come through here regularly.

Stay tuned.

I really respect coach's decision to stay tight lipped about his prospects.

Um, I think he has to. If I'm not mistaken, it's against the rules to mention players by name until they sign the letter.

Honestly, I have never known a coach that would just blurt out the name of a prospect. Josh is right, however, when speaking publicly they can not name any student-athlete that they might be recruiting.

Most coaches will speak generally about recruiting, for example, they are looking for the best athlete available or we really have to sign a point guard this year..stuff like that. On a rare occasion when I get a coach up here at the store and get them liquored up, they might drop a name or two, but that doesn't happen often.
