Southland Conference Basketball Media Day Available On Southland TV FRISCO, Texas - Fans will have a chance to view free of charge the Southland Conference Basketball Media Day activities on Monday, Oct. 22, live via video streaming on SOUTHLAND TV. All 24 SLC basketball head coaches from the 12 league universities will gather at the Merrell Center in Katy, Texas, the site of the 2008 Southland Conference Tournament, to preview the upcoming season.

Festivities get underway at noon with a media luncheon. ESPN analyst and former collegiate coach Fran Fraschilla will be the featured speaker at the luncheon. In addition, the Southland's preseason coaches' and sports information directors' polls and the preseason All-SLC teams will be unveiled.

Later in the day, from 1:30-4 p.m., one-on-one media interview opportunities with the head men's and women's coaches will be offered. Also, coaches' interviews will be streamed live over the internet. The league's head coaches will provide insight on the upcoming 2007-08 season, previewing their teams and the SLC at Monday's media day.
