FRISCO, Texas – UT Arlington’s Jermaine Griffin has been voted the first Southland Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week of the 2007-08 season today.
Griffin posted his 11th career double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds on Monday night, as the Mavericks won 79-58 against UC Riverside. The Houston native made 5-of-5 from the field and 6-of-10 free throws. He also had one blocked shot and one steal in 31 minutes of playing time.
