I predict men will not blow a 13 point lead like the women did.

Well a big key will be to stop junior guard Lester Hudson. He's averaging 30 points per game, scored 34 against Memphis in the 2k Hoops Classic.

He posted what is believed to be the first ever quadruple double in NCAA history against CBC on Tuesday (25 pt-12 reb-10 assists-10 stls)

It's hard to believe that's never happened before in all the years of colelge basketball. So, who do we have that can guard Hudson and attempt to slow him down? Freddi..... nevermind.

SKYHAWK JUNIOR MAKES NCAA HISTORY WITH QUADRUPLE-DOUBLE
November 14, 2007

University of Tennessee at Martin junior guard Lester Hudson made NCAA Division I men's basketball history on Tuesday, Nov. 13 when he recorded a quadruple-double in the Skyhawks 116-74 victory over Central Baptist College. He is believed to be the first men's player to accomplish the feat at the Division I level.

Hudson filled up the box score with 25 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals in 31 minutes of play. He was 10-of-17 from the field and 5-of-7 from 3-point range and also blocked a shot...

Wow...what a comeback...sort of got the feeling when they put the run on early in the 2nd half that they had the momentum to get it done..then they could not put it away when they got the one point lead with 7-8 minutes left and UTM seemed to have it in hand but Bears would not go away......

Pillow had 2 at half and ended with 23!!! Nevels had 15 with 12 rebs. and fouled out with 5-6 min to go..

15 turns in game...only 3 in last half....

Rand...... down 42-19 before the run to end the half at 44-29..... good start in 2nd half....11 O-rebs in last half....23 point comebacks on road are rare....Hudson is an unbelievable player and may be as good as any I have coached against.....Marcus made a big time play at the end from 2-3 steps beyond the arc.....UTM has a lot of talent but some are new.....they are very good.....this will shorten the ride home.... 3 game winning streak and 3 home games coming back.....were not executing at all in first half with no focus...changed in last half...

UCA 78 UTM 75

Bears 3-1 and UTM now 2-2

GoBears!!

We should learn to never count a Rand Chappell-coached team out of almost any game!

Come next week to see the Bears! They will fight hard on the floor for 40 minutes. Thanks to the players and coaches for representing UCA so well. :P

After such a big win for the Bears at Tennessee-Martin the Log Cabin failed to mention it at all this morning. Go to the Log Cabin web site and use the contact us link to let Scott and Rick know that while we appreciate their work and staff constraints we also expect coverage of our home town teams.
Figure it does no good to gripe about coverage this or that other team gets or to be nasty, etc. but to simply register our wish that the Bears not be forgotten during a division 1 basketball season - especially with them missing such a huge win for the program.

Even the Democrat-Gazette included a small article on the Bears win.

Let the Log Cabin know.
