Someone mentioned the fact that the Purple Rage Pep Band is not able to come out until January...I would hope they would make an exception for this game b/c they make a really big difference in the atmosphere of the game!

We were there, hope everyone that was there enjoyed our performance :)

I knew when I was walking up to the Farris Center the house was rockin'. The band ought to have a banner that says, "The Purple Rage, the rowdiest band Aloud!", and near the end of a win they should have a banner that says, "Monty says the hay is in the barn!" How much does a banner cost, anyway? :D

That band rocked! I loved the intro music and tipoff music! They sounded clean and loud! Plus the taunting of the opponents by the band made it feel like a Duke home game...something I have had the luxury to attend....great job band! Hopefully word will get out and people will get hyped about an 8-1 UCA basketball team....all motivated by "THE PURPLE RAGE!" :!: :!: :!:

Your not going to like my answer and I don't say this disrespectfully, but I'm so busy during the broadcast, particularly during timeouts. I couldn't tell you anything about the band.

I know they are there because I see them off to my left, but that's about it.

Monty

The way our guys stepped it up after Idaho cut the lead to 1 right out of the gate in the 2nd half I thought was the key moment. Pillow shot the ball excellent. 7-9 from behind the 3 point line, I have to say is pretty dang good and efficient! For a team that sometimes has lulls in shooting the ball, we finished over 45% from the field is not not bad at all. 4 players in double figure scoring, nice balance.

Proud of the crowd and the band obviously. It is a much better atmosphere, and a much tougher place to play when the Purple Rage makes an appearance! I've said it before, and I'll say it again, our pep band is the tops in the SLC! And between MontyR and I, we saw them all last season. It's amazing the band program we have right now and how much they help the atmosphere.

PS - Brenttpt, Pay no attention to that MontyR fella, he's just yanking your chain!

Here's the prototype of the purple thermal thong (front side). What do you guys think if I showed up to the Farris Center in this?

Brenttpt...the band sound great (from what little I heard on the radio going in and out of time outs) you should tell your band director that we all say "THANK YOU" for coming out last night!
Yeah, MontyR is just losing his hearing from his birthday the other day!
