I wonder if the bears can win this game without making a FG in the second half. They've got less than 3:30 to do it.

Marcus Pillow for THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

In the time it took UCA to score their first FG of the second half, I saved 15% on my car insurance by switching to Geico...

Incredible... Bears will win despite hitting 2 FGs in the second half...

I've seen a lot of basketball, but I've never seen a college team win while hitting only 2 FGs in a half...

The concentration it takes to pull that off is incredible. Congrats to Rand and the Bears for hanging on!!!

How did the attendance look at the game?

Well, 443 can't look that good, but hopefully MontyR will be on here soon to tell us more about it!

Wasn't a very vocal crowd at all...first half, as Rand said, may have been the best half of ball we have played this year.

Second half was a struggle...and that is an understatement.

I felt like going in that this was a very winnable game, but give UMKC credit, they are much better than their 5-9 record . On paper, what ever it is worth, I thought they were going to give us alot of problems with their perimeter defense, thus taking away the long outside shot.
At times, they did a good job on that, but our guards settled down, made some adjustments and played well.

If you guys recall last year, the Bears did not pick up their 10th win until the final day of the season. Tonight was win #10 before the new year...not bad.

Questions, complaints, comments...

Sorry I'm late getting on.

Monty

Good win.....2 FGs in 2nd half is hard to believe but FT shooting is hot the last few games.....need a good road win in Carolina to end non-con schedule....

Who really thought Bears would be 10-3 at this point? Good for them.

GoBears!!

10-3 is a wonderful start. I know I would have been pleased with eight or nine, but 10 and the possibility of 11 is fantastic.

Tough test on Wednesday in Carolina.

From UCASports.com: UCA (10-3) made only 2 of 13 from the field in the second half, tying an NCAA record.

This is unbelievable. First field goal of the 2nd half with 3:00 left in the game. Last field goal was a powerful dunk by York. 2 FG's ties an NCAA record for "futility" I guess. Not sure what to call that. Second, and even more amazing to me, was that we never gave up the lead after leading by only 6 at the half. I believe that UMKC tied it once or cut it to 1, but that was it. Third, we made a lot of free throws at a 75% pace. Good job defense and good job on the free throws.

I am happy the way our guards played but I would like us to get the big men more involved. I think that will be important, especially in conference play. Now go beat UNC Greensboro. We need to play a better road game than our last one that is for sure.
