it is also kinda cool how Midnight Madnes worked out this season being in the same weekend as Homecoming weekend. Hope that helps attendance too, although I doubt it, it might though. :D

With it falling on a friday night, I willing to bet that the attendance isn't going to be to good although I did see a commercial on the tube about it today.

Hey, for those of you who are going to be able to make it to Midnight madness, it would be great if you could snap some pics and post them here so that we can see what the team is like since some of us aren't going to be able to make it.

We'll do our best.

I'm sure the Echo will have someone there as well.

Let me be the first to say that midnight madness was awesome. The teams looked pretty good, but there were a few things that need to be worked on but that is what practice is for. Over all there was a good turnout and all went well, plus i got to crawl around and pick up money. $33 in like 2 minutes works out to be like $1000 dollars an hour.

Congrats on the $33.

Just by watching, I didn't get enough to write anything up, but maybe I'll have some pictures later.

I thought the SugarBears struggled on offense. Yes, yes, I know it's the first practice. But some around me apparently felt that the offense would fall of quite a bit this season with the loss of the three seniors.

The Bears looked pretty good. Cortez looked good with the ball. Daryl Jones still looked like a starter. But how much can you really tell when the main goal is to see how many dunks/alley-oops you can get?

I agree that the offense will fall off as far as having a big 3 this year but the team output will make up for it. Tonight looked nothing like what I have been seeing in the pickup games, and atleast the sugarbears appear to know what the word defense means. O yea i almost forgot the were atleast 2 who I think will be in the starting lineup who were hurt or couldnt play for other reasons tonight, and they will definetly add to the offense.

As far as the bears go we have some really good athletes and I hope tonight was the end of the showboating and the formation of the team will begin with the first real practice. You always have to wonder how a group of athletes will mesh together with most of them never seeing or playing with each other any before this year.

I think there was alot of potential on the court tonight that could turn into very promising season as long as everybody plays together and stays healthy.

Yea, gals offense needs a little help the defense really stepped up! Low scoring scrimmage; however with the men, it was a high scoring scrimmage. The guys looked pretty good. I'm excited about the basketball season!
