I know it's early in the the year, but was curious how many of you guys and/or girls are planning to go up to Jonesboro and see the Sugarbears and Arkansas State on Monday night ?

Should be a dandy of a game.

I'm trying to make plans to take off work early and attend. It's difficult to find someone to close the General Store this time of year so my plans are somewhat up in the air.

Tipoff is at 7 p.m. .

probably depends on how many decide to travel to Albany, GA to see the Bears play this weekend as well.

No matter how we do at stAte, we have already assured ourselves a winning record against the rest of the state's D1 programs with wins over Ualr and Uapb, even though they are exhibition...I know I know. Too bad we don't play UAF, although we already seriously know we are playing the best women's D1 program in the state on their home court next Monday night, that's for sure!

I am looking forward to the trip to Jonesboro....been by the Convocation Center many times, but never have been inside.

Let's all hope that in the years to come that a good rivalary can be developed between Da Bears and Sugarbears and ASU.

If the link works, you can read the article that will tell you that ASU is in no way taking tonight lightly.

I look for it to be a pretty good ball game. Randle will be tough to slow down. I doubt our new girls are ready at this point. Inside should be an advantage to us but, we are trying to use our inside force at the primeter more but, she will still be moving in and out. Should be quite a game. It's a shame you guys won't get to see our point guard, she'hasn't practiced in 18 days now with a muscle problem, she's quite a player herself. If you make it be careful driving and I hope you have a good time and go home sad. HA! HA!.

Yeah, not good. Hopefully this just means ASU is going to have another good year, not that UCA is pretty bad.

I just hope we don't let it get to the 44-point deficit we're on pace for.

Randle held to just 5 points (I think they said) at the half.

Our leading scorers are Sample and Greer with 6 each.

is this team going to take some time to gel before they hit their stride with the new faces on the court? I am expecting a stretch just like last year to start the season where we may run hot or cold while learning and meshing together, and then when we hit GSC play, we take off, not letting up until we reach the Elite 8 and beyond. I love the potential for this team and know we have the coaches to get the job done, that is for sure.
