Jacks are 9-4 overall and 1-0 in SLC with a close 75-73 over Sam Houston State. Best wins other than Sam so far are a home win over Jackson State by 73-59, another home court win over Austin Peay by 93-54 and barn-burner over North Dakota State by 112-111. Losses are four road losses at Texas A&M (55-48), UL-Monore (60-58), Arkansas (67-51) and Texas Tech (69-55).
SFA has two of the Top 8 SLC scorers in #4 SR Josh Alexander (G, 6'4", 16.3ppg) including 21 at TAM and 17 at Arkansas and #8 SR Matt Kingsley (F, 6' 9", 14.9 ppg). Marcus Pillow is #1 at 12.1 ppg.
Kingsley and Alexander rank #16/#17 in rounding with about 6; UCA's Brian Mark is #2 at 9. Eric Bell leads SFA with assists at 3.7 for #7 and Eddie Williams (10.9 ppg) comes in at 3.1 for #15; Pillow leads UCA at 3.1 for #14.
SFA has four players shooting over 40% for 3s, including Alexander at 35/83 for 42%.
SFA won last year at their place by 57-43.
