Well, its back to the grind Wednesday night as the Bears entertain the Lamar Cardinals at the Farris Center.

Each team comes in with two and five conference records. Lamar lost on a last second shot on Saturday to Texas San Antonio while the Bears were rolled over by Northwestern State.

Golden opportunity for the Bears this week to pick up the pace with both games being played at home.

Tipoff is set for 7 O'Clock...Air time on KASR 92.7 & ucasports.com is 6:45.

Kept fighting and fighting..great play by Rueter at end to get free for a long 3 to tie at 57....Lamar's Dawkins apparently made a fine contested shot from 17+ to win.....

Taylor scored 18 and Rueter 12 to lead Bears.....Marks had 13 rebounds and a big block in last minute to give Bears a final chance ....

Coach: Proud of effort....compete hard and you either win or have your heartbroken....keep playing this way and wins will come.....only 5 turnovers in 2nd half helped and we made some stops.....Mitch was not open on the initial screen at the end and still got open to hit a long three to tie....we outrebounded a good rebounding team tonight.....got to be better offesnively...King Cannon played his best game ever for us....just an excellent game for King....Sam Houston has won 5 in a row aad is playing well tonight on road vs UTSA.....appreciate everyone support tonight.....
