Four games left in this season. Out of the nine wins, five of them were gimmes, imo. The only redeeming grace I see for this season is to win out. I know injuries play a part of team chemistry but injuries should also be figured into a yearly strategy. They happen to all teams.

I really don't expect us to be at the top of the heap in the SLC at this point but I would have expected a better showing than what we have given. There are several variables in our program that need to step up and start improving. Losing is not something we should become accustomed to.

We will beat McNeese in the last game of the season because it's at home. And we might beat Nicholls. They are just one game ahead of us in the standings, and we get them at home too.

No wins before McNeese would put the losing streak at 10...

Of the other teams left, this is the margin of defeat the first time around:
Nicholls - 21
SELA - 11
SFA - 17

Good question, and my simple answer is no.

Remaining Schedule:

vs. Nicholls
@ SELA
@ SFA
vs. McNeese

I just don't see us getting a win anywhere in there, with the exception of maybe McNeese. We've already lost to SELA and SFA at home...and we lost to Nicholls on the road, but we beat McNeese at their place (barely). So, I don't think we will win again, but maybe they will surprise me.

Losing three of your starters...Sims dismissed (for the good of the progam and the school if not helpful on the court)...then Pouncey (the tough heart of the team)..and then Rueter at the last game (and who knows how much this has affected him all year - it would me) certainly has not helped. Tough year no doubt but I have faith in this staff and their experience.

Put me down for 2 - 2 down the stretch.
