and I only know that because someone from the game told me, since it wasnt on UCAsports.com...again. To say I am once again disgusted with their lack of a link is really teh suck! First last postseason and now the first true game of the year, no where online to be found.

Any or all comments from those at the game would be appreciatated when the time comes.

The Bears win the opener 58-to-46 over Southwestern Oklahoma.

Southwest jumped out to an early lead and then the Bears went on a run of about 12-to-nothing to build a lead.

Darrell Jones finished with 17 points. Joey Cortez added 11.

The Bears next game will be against Southwest Oklahoma on November 22nd in Weatherford, Oklahoma at 7 p.m. .

I've got to tell you, I was a little surprised. Guards and forwards did a pretty good job, but the inside game needs alot of work.

Southwest is one of those teams that it looks like your about to put them away and all of a sudden they are only down two to four points.

Anyway, GREAT way to open the season. Heard someone say the crowd was about 1000.

Burly Bear :D

Great win for the Bears..man I miss being in Conway and going to all the games! If the crowd of 1,000 is right, that is a GREAT 1st game crowd for the Bears!!

There was not 1000 there! I would say like 250-if that. hahahah That's hilarious. I was suprised too of how they played. After all the talk, I was not expecting a win! I'm pumped about the basketball season! GO BEARS AND SUGAR BEARS!
