Just got a telegram from Amos Patton at the RussVegas Telegraph Office.
He reports tonight that the UCA Sugarbears won over Southeast Oklahoma by a score of 71-to-63. Game was played at Arkansas Tech, he said.

Caronica Randle had 29 points while Renita Dobbins finished with 14.

UCA will play Lynn University of Florida Saturday night.

Many thanks to Amos for passing on that report. Best telegraph man I was ever around.

Burly Bear :D

The SugarBears areo nthe road TONIGHT (Tuesday Night) in Tahlequah, OK to take on the Lady Reds of what I call NEO, but really is Northeastern State. Tipoff is at 6 pm on KCON/KUCA....

I was also told the Men's game Saturday night was on the internet, so tune in for what I HOPE is SugarBears basketball on the 'net as well.

Also on a side note, I believe there has been a rescheduling of the Men's game scheduled for tomorrow night against cross-town opponent CBC. That game has been moved to tonight at 7 pm at CBC, no radio for that game if I'm not mistaken.

The Sugar Bears took it on the chin tonight, losing to Northeastern State out of Oklahoma by a score of 70 - 64 . With the loss, the Sugar Bears fall to 3-2 on the young season. They play again next Monday night in Tyler, Texas, against Texas-Tyler. Tipoff set for 6 pm.

Hopefully the Sugarbears will be able to pick themselves up like that did last year after getting off to a rocky start and go into GSC play strong!

That is exactly what I think is going to happen, while they build chemistry on and off the court and get roles defined, I think once GSC play, and our real home schedule, begin, we will be just fine.
