Well the women pulled it out in a great win down in Texas last night, while the men dropped one to UNA! I knew that UNA was going to be a tough team this year when they beat a very good DSU team earlier in the season. Well, we will just have to use this as a building experience and get it back together and return the favor when we visit UNA at their house on January 2, 2006!

Let's Go Bears and SugarBears.

P.S. It may have been nice if more than 500 people showed up at the FC to cheer on the Bears, IMHO!

Allyson Sample went off last night in the game, scoring 20.
I think four Sugar Bears had double-digits. TxTyler is just 2-4, but this game sounds like it was a good one for the the SBs.

Bears have no shooters, at least none who have stepped up so far.

What's worse, they have a terrible time with lay-ups and put-backs.

But man do they play hard, fun to watch.

Maybe scoring will improve with time.

I have watched them play two or three times and you are absolutely right.

I think the key for them is that they are just outworking everyone.

Personally, I'd rather have the team you are describing!

Teams that put forth the extra effort can compete with good shooting teams who put forth little effort. But I'm a positive guy, of course I'm going to see it that way.

Fun to watch?

I find it painful.

Painful is a good way word, but it may not be harsh enough.

I see your point. It is painful to watch them miss the short shots and lay-ups in particular.

But I do like to watch they way the hustle and play defense.

I'll take hustle and hard working anyday, win or lose, over that 'basketball' I had to sit through on the men's side while I was in school. They were terrible, and played that way too
