NO ONE in Conway is showing the game at all at any of area establishments. So I'm watching it online and listening on the radio just like the rest of us.

SHS looked pretty good once they settled down...Corey Allmond set a Rupp Arena record with 11 3pt'rs...

Should be an exciting season for the Bearkats in the JC...

lost to #1 Kansas 94-44...nice experience at Phog Allen other than the score. It was obvious our guys played really hard at least. Too bad Kansas is kinda good...

No kidding.
That's closer than pretty darn close.
You probably could have won thousands of dollars for a college fund.

Even with that near perfect pick Josh you'd still be in the hole for the year I'd imagine. Just keep doing like you're doing and hand that paycheck over to the wife every month. Us guys all know how wisely our wives invest our money.

Jayhawked

No surprise what happened in Lawrence, Kansas, tonight, where the University of Central Arkansas men's team got to be Kansas' fodder (uh, opponent) in historic Allen Fieldhouse. The site and the opponent were the thing.

The game and the outcome were never in doubt.

In fact, one of the folks on a UCA fan page gave a realistic prediction and almost hit it on the button. Realistically, Kansas is one of the best teams in the country, possibly one of the best in college basketball in awhile. UCA had one of the worst RPIs in the country last year and is ranked near the bottom of NCAA Division I teams. UCA is to Kansas what Haskell was to UCA last season.

The bad news is the Bears play at Memphis last week and the Tigers took Kansas to the wire earlier this week, something that may have made the Jayhawks more motivated Thursday night.

After those mismatches that sandwich a more mangeable opponent in Western Illinois, UCA plays teams that are more on its level and has a more realistic chance to compete. Then, we'll watch for improvement of a young team that seems to willing to hustle.

Jayhawks run over Bears
By Stewart Cole
By Taylor Bern
Topeka Capital-Journal

LAWRENCE , Kan. — After a disenchanting victory against Memphis on Tuesday, Kansas returned home, put on its red jerseys and ran roughshod over Central Arkansas.

Really, the game played out exactly as it should, the No. 1 team in the country romping to a 94-44 victory.

“Memphis is over with. It was tough game and I think it was a good game for us,” Tyrel Reed said. “But coming out here with a lot of energy was fun tonight.”...

JAYHAWKS HANDLE BEARS 94-44
MEN'S BASKETBALL • Nov 19, 2009

LAWRENCE, Kan _ Seldom does one find positives in a 50-point loss, but the University of Central Arkansas’ 94-44 loss at No. 1 Kansas had some on Thursday night, according to head coach Rand Chappell.

The Bears (1-2) faced one of the perennial national powers in front of a full house of 16,300 at storied Allen Fieldhouse. The Bears trailed for all but the opening two minutes and shot just 25.5 percent for the game (14 of 55). Still, Chappell said it was a worthwhile trip...
