Pouncy out indefinitely for Bears

Quote:
University of Central Arkansas men's basketball coach Rand Chappell says senior guard Mike Pouncy is out indefinitely with a recurring foot injury.

Pouncy, one of the Bears' leading scorers, missed most of last season with the injury and reinjured the foot in Saturday's loss against Oakland University. Chappell said Pouncy had had limited practice time all season.

"But once he steps on the floor, nobody on the other team knows he's hurt," said Chappell at Monday's weekly Bearbacker luncheon.

This does not help our chance of winning games...

Sorry to hear this about Mike. He just seems bit by the bug. Certainly a solid player who can create shots when healthy . Hope he heals quickly.

What hurts most of last year was Mike not being on the court. I hope his foot can heal quickly so he can be that impact player we all know he can be.
