Lady Aces Entertain One Of The Nation's Top Scorers Wednesday Night

EVANSVILLE, Ind.--Women’s basketball fans will be in for a treat on Wednesday night at Roberts Stadium, as the University of Evansville women’s basketball team will entertain the Central Arkansas Sugar Bears and high-flying forward Caronica Randle. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. and the game can be heard live in the Tri-State area on 91.5 F.M.-WUEV.

Randle leads the Division II Sugar Bears (5-2) into Roberts Stadium on Wednesday with an average of 24.4 points per game. She has scored at least 21 points in each of Central Arkansas’ first seven games of the year, and her 24.4 points per game scoring average would rank second in the nation in Division I, according to the most recent NCAA statistical rankings. She scored 49 points in UCA’s 80-70 exhibition victory at Arkansas-Little Rock earlier this fall.

Let's bring home the W Sugarbears!!!

Nah, that was just his reaction to seeing the crates of Budweiser (a UE corporate sponsor) wheeled into the arena for concession sales.

As most of you probably know by now, the SBs lost last night 70-61.

Josh and Kai from the Echo were there and have written several things up that are now in the newsstand.

Gosh we played dang hard last night. That was some great effort on our Surgar Bears' part. I truly believe that at a couple of times during the game, the Purple Aces thought we would roll over and go away when they jumped on us, but we did not quit! I was proud of this bunch, even though the scoreboard had us losing.

I was real impressed by the throng so UCA fans......ok the 3 or 4 that were there last night cheering and writing about the game!

After last night, It looks like the Sugar Bears are coming around and should be in fine shape as they head into GSC play, and included in GSC play ARE home games in Conway believe it or not!
