Missed a good game at Farris Center today. TAMCC is a good team who took #2 Texas to the wire. Over 1000 in attendance.

Bears led by as much as 7 in first half and led 29-28 at the break. Watching the streaming video (I coud not get the 2nd half) looked like Bears hustled well and forced TAMCC into lots of bad shots. Late in half TAMCC became more patience and took advantage of their size inside. Kevin Palmer of TAMCC looks like a very good player.

Pretty evenly matched in 2nd half with a back and forth game until very late....2nd half rebounding killed us...tied in rebounds at half but ended up down 40-25 (14-7 offensive).

Only 8 TOs by Bears helped them stay in the game and shooting was decent per stats EXCEPT for FTs where we only 3 of 11....that is the difference in the game especially since TAMCC was 19 of 23.....Monty had little to say nice about officiating.

Coach: Compete that way night in and night out and we will win games...played a good team today.....missed two big 1 and 1s....biggest fear was TAMCC's rebounding and they really got after it in the 2nd half..they are a lot bigger than us...SFA is an awfulyl good team with a 10-3 non-conference record...looked pretty good when we saw them in the tourney earlier...

Was that an uncalled foul or what? Rand's arguement drew a technical but I would have done the same thing. Heck, might as well go down in flames.

Officiating was horrible in this game. Thw worst I have ever seen. I was so ticked off. The next time we have a bad officiating game like that, I will give all the referees attention and if I get in trouble for it, so be it. I don't care. I will make sure that crap like this will never happen again.

Oh brother!

Put 2000+ in the stands with 1000 letting refs know every poor call and they typically get the message... it may take a couple visits for the refs to get it ......if refs continue to make poor calls, then email SLC office..they will alibi and say every thing gets reviewed, etc ...but get enough complaints and you will get attention given, especially if the complaints come from more than one school....use message boards to spread the word about poor refereeing....no slander just point out poor calls....
