Very good win...Bears played really well the first 10 minutes and took a nice lead...mostly even thereafter but Bears responded every time Nicholls tried to get something going....Bears held Nicholls top scorer (avg 18ppg) to only 6 and he had a really hard time getting any open shot....Sheppard had a nice game as did Rueter....Bears won rebound battle by 37-30 but it sure seemed much larger .....excellent FG5 but poor FT%....neither team could hit 3s as the defense was so tight.....I only remember a couple shots all night that did not have a hand in the face......this team really misses Pouncy at the poiint to break press, etc but they hustled hard and fought for rebounds....defense reminded me of the old AIC days when every team was man-to-man in your face ....no doubt the huge and loud crowd juiced up the Bears ....we need to get them better attendance each game......
