The Sugar Bears (6-3) out ran the Lady Antelope of Grand Canyon (2-13) 73-63. SB almost lost a 25 point lead in the 2nd half before prevailing by 10.

The Sugar Bears will play again against Molloy at 7 central time and the they will finish up in Phoenix by playing Grand Canyon again on Saturday at 5 central time.

3 good non conference (possible cupcake) games to get us finalized for GSC play which starts next Thursday night in Memphis.

Don't know what else I've missed lately in the newsstand, but this time it wasn't just cause I was lazy. Had a great Christmas in the ER with an emergency appendectomy. I should have plenty of time at the house for the next week or so though.

So, if you have any ideas for the site, let us know.

Admin, that's great news about the appendectomy. Maybe Santa will bring me one of those next year. Hope all is well on the road to recovery.

Also, I guess it's worth a mention here that the Sugar Bears moved to 2-0 on the Phoenix swing last night. I didn't get a chance to listen in, but how about Tiffany Moore blowing up with a team-high 15 points? She goes from seeing maybe two or three minutes in a couple games to five minutes in Game 1 out there, and then shows up with 15 points last night. It's always nice to know that, at least every once in awhile, you can get production like that from the far end of the bench. If there's one advantage this year's team has over last year's, depth is definitely it ... even if it seems to be less and less every couple weeks.
