SELA (15-11/7-6), 2nd in East, 3-9 away
UCA (8-19/2-11), 6th in East, 5-7 at home

Last three games:
Loss at TAMCC by 68-57
Win at home over SFA by 66-56
Loss at UTA by 85-73

Win over UCA at SELA by 60-53 on 1/27

The best thing Bears have going for them is they are at FC and SELA is not a strong road team. SELA shooting FGs, 3s and FTs is markedly ahead of UCA. Rebounds and TOs are even. SELA only beat the Bears by 7 at Hammond so Bears look able to play with them and maybe sneak a wn. Lions looking to solidy tourney seed while UCA playing for pride. Bears need everyone to show up and play a solid game and have balanced scoring. Need to get ball more to Sheppard to take advantage of strong 57% FG shooting. Be a good trime for another Rueter 20+ game.

Players in SLC leaders:
UCA....
Tadre Sheppard....7 rebs/57% FGs/2Bs

SELA....
Patrick Sullivan...15ppg/8 rebs/54% FGs/3Bs
Robert Tibbs.....79% FTs
Trent Hutchin...44% 3s
Brandon Fortenberry....39% 3s

Guys lost 65-60 in overtime. Bears had a chance to win in regulation, but a three pointer was missed at the buzzer. We had opportunities to win, but could not capitalize. I thought this was a great effort the team put up against a pretty good team like the Lions.

Next up: Final home game against Stephen F. Austin on Wednesday
