13-1 and #15 ranked Delta State visits the FC on Thursday.

Anyone know any more than this:
They score about 90 pts/g
They rebound well
Earlier in the season they led GSC in steals and assists
Apparently our safety is also a pretty good basketball player (6-7 Jasper Johnson)
Jeremy Richardson is also a very good player for them on the inside
They usually go about 8-10 deep - but let's keep in mind they usually win by about 20. They have 6 players that take up the majority of the minutes.

That's all I know from looking at the numbers. Hopefully it'll be a good game.
At the same time, I don't want another 2 OT game or last second shot by Fred Campbell.

See you at the Farris Center---

I heard Rand Chappel tell Monty on the radio last week that Delta State is the team he thinks may win the National Champion. Said they are solid from top to bottom.

I hope we didn't empty our tank in Searcy on Monday because we will need alot on Thursday night at home.

Burly Bear :D

Just added to the newsstand:
Delta State Previews from Josh Goff.

When treyuca posed the question, I figured someone at the Echo may have some info to add - here it is.

(also, found an interesting story about Chad Wise and UConn. Long, but a pretty good read. follow the link above.)

I guess you can count our new player as part of the Delta Thread now as well. Welcome back Micaela Thomas!

Tough game to lose for the Sugar Bears tonight to the Lady Statesmen of Delta. UCA lost 52-50 and falls to 3rd place in the GSC Western Division standings, behind Henderson State and Delta State. With the loss The Sugar Bears drop to 12-5, 4-2 in GSC play.

The Cotton Blossoms of UAM come to Conway Monday night in GSC play. Tip off will be at 6 pm.

***as a PS I noticed, thanks to the running diary that Region #1 Henderson got knocked of by those pesky Lady Tigers of OBU. Rankings may change bigtime next week, or not much at all after 2 of the top 3 lose tonight.

Both teams SWEPT at home again...

The Bear lose 64-58 to Delta State tonight. With the loss the Bears drop 11-4 overall and 4-2 in GSC play. They host UAM monday night with tipoff being around 8. Another tough game ahead, this time it's UAM at home on Monday nihgt. I like how this team fights and hustles though.
