Our guys played their tails off, I will say that for them. Gallagher-Iba is an environment that can be electric at times, but it was not last night at all, our guys stayed with them for basically the full 40, even after battling back from double digit leads. I think this team could end up hanging around in SLC play if they keep improving the way they are.

FREE THROWS DOOM BEARS IN 69-57 LOSS

STILLWATER, Okla. _ A steady parade to the free throw line in the second half carried the Oklahoma State Cowboys to a 69-57 victory over the University of Central Arkansas Bears on Wednesday night at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

After not making a free throw in the first half (0 for 1), the Cowboys (6-1) converted 18 in the second half, including 15 in the final 4:30, to hold the Bears at bay. For the game, OSU was 18 of 26 from the line and won despite hitting only 1 of 12 from three-point range and turning the ball over 19 times.

OSU junior guard Keiton Page scored a team-high 17 points, hitting 10 of 10 from the line. All 10 of those came in the final four minutes as the Bears were trying to make up as much as a 15-point deficit...

Just judging by the scores, if "feels" like that attitude of the team has already changed for the better. If we show any signs of improvement - which I certainly expect at this point - that just makes me more excited for the future.

We know where we are with the football and volleyball programs. WBB has picked it up and hopefully will get past a bit of a slow start. MBB and Baseball (even without playing a single game) are the other big ones for me, and the coaching changes seem to have worked out positively for the programs so far.

I dont get to see a ton of men's games obviously, so being there last night and seeing their effort and hustle made me excited for the future. They still have a way to go, but you cant tell the mindset and attitude was different last night, that was evident.

I'm so glad to see this team play with the heart they have shown. I got to attend the last home game and I was very impressed with the discipline and effort those guys put on the court. Some people like to go to games because a team is winning, I like the games where you see kids leave it all on the court, win or lose. You even hear the opposing fans say nice things about the hustle. If this team only wins 10 games but shows effort, heart and discipline like they have been, I'll be a proud Bear! But I think that many intangibles will lead to more than 10 wins this year.
