Sugar Bears and Bears Travel to Henderson

I think it is safe to say that these games tonight are going to wind up being pretty big for the GSC West races to say the least!

On a different starting time for the SB...5:30 tipoff at Henderson, and not the 6 pm one we are used to.

Damn, I'll have to feed the mules early tonight so I can get in and listen to the games.

well the game are on the internet..and they even began ON TIME, I was impressed!

As for the Sugar Bears, things are NOT going well for them. The Sugar Bears fall in their final trip to Henderson 80-70. The Sugar Bears have now lost 3 in a row in the GSC. (1st time since 1992 this has happenend!) Their conference record now sits at 7-5. Their overall record drops to 15-8.

And I have to be honest in my opinion, if they don't turn it around and win out or win the GSC Tournament, that whole post season eligibility waiver will be a very moot point to say the least. Hopefully the above scenarios will happen as far as winning out!

It just seems IMO that the SugarBears have lost the will and the heart to play...

Hopefully things will go better for the men....

I had called for the girls to be in the tournament at the begining of conference play and I plan on staying with that but they will definatly drop out of the regional poll after this week

I tend to agree with you about them dropping out of the Regional Rankings, although it isn't looking good right now for the GSC Tournament if they keep up at this rate.

The UCA Bears went to Henderson tonight and came up with a HUGE WIN over the Reddies! The Bears come out of Arkadelphia for the final time with a 57-45 win, the 3rd straight win in GSC play for the Bears! With this big road victory, the Bears not only improve to 8-4 in GSC play and 15-7 overall, but they are keeping themselves firmly in the GSC Tournament picture as well!

and before we go any farther, how about Alexei Korolev! He is my player of the game tonight, what a preformance tonight by him!

UCA returns home to the Farris Center on Monday night to host Harding in GSC play...Sugar Bears tip at 6 and the Bears at 8!

Talked to Monty this morning...he said the Sugarbears gave a much better effort against Henderson than against ATU. The one thing that kind of stuck with me a little bit was he said even on her worst day, don't ever underestimate what Checola can pull off with this basketball team. Monty kept saying they are really struggling, but at least they are battling.

All I can say is, hang in there ladies.
