Update on the Gulf South home page.

Mens tournament.

UCA will play a first round game on Friday at 2:45 p.m. against
Alabama-Huntsville.

Monty mentioned on the radio tonight that it looks like the Sugarbears will play Thursday at 2:45 against West Georgia. The womens website has not been updated.

Two afternoon games next week. looks good. Glad to have both teams representing at Tupelo one final time. I'm proud of both these teams, wasn't always easy, but they both got there!

They did good....Sugarbears scared the crap out of me when they let that 23 point lead get away, but they competed tonight...that made the difference.

The men just flat wanted it tonight.

On to Tupelo.....

Can someone explain to me what happens if UAM beats OBU tomorrow?

Who becomes the three seed between UCA and UAM? Our conference records would be tied and we split our series...

(UAM plays @home against a 4-11 OBU team)

Do you mean if OBU beats UAM?? Because right now UAM has one less Conference loss than us, and a win by them would only strengthen their 2nd place. However, if they lose then we are tied and maybe they will look at our overall record in which case we will have the upperhand and be the #2 seed!

Nope, I meant if UAM wins. But I'm referring to the women.
(both of OBU's teams are 4-11, so I'm sure that was confusing.)

The men are apparently locked into third according to the GSC site. Coach Chappell also told Monty last night that after talking to the comish earlier in the day that he was told that even if we won (which we did), we'd still be the 3-seed out of the west.

Anyway, I was just wondering how they determine who's the 3-seed for the women's west division.

And they did just that, 80-64.

Delta also beat Tech 56-43.

looking forward to these games. I hope my purple colored glasses aren't getting my thinking int he way, but I think we can win both 1st round matchups. Will we, I don't know, but the talent is there if they will play.

Now I have to hope we get the games on the 'net...
