However, Dewan Clayborn is burning it up early in 2nd half....60% from FGs, 100% 3s, 100% FTs and 14 points....

Drake 87 UCA 64 Final
Dewan Clayborn ends up with 23 on 5/10 FGs, 4-6 3s and 9/10 FTs...
Miles added 9, Wells and Crawford tally 8....
Garner and Harks each had 8 rebs...
FGs ... 36% v 52%
3s ...41% v 40%
FTs ...70% v 61%
Assists ... 8 v 22
TOs ... 14 v 10
Coach seemed pleased with intensity to start and overall level of effort...noted a couple times that team did not compete at Iowa but did so tonight...noted Dewan for stepping up the last few games.... said Miles has been trying to take everything to the basket and Iowa and Drake are just too good inside to allow that.....said he has gotten away from his short pullup jumper...needs to have others step up before conference...off to Vegas on 12/27 for the 12/28 game and after two practices on 12/26....wished Bear Nation a Merry Christmas....

87 - 64 Drake wins
Expected but at least it was a much better showing from the bears.
Bad:
Only 38% FG shooting will kill you every time.
1st half
We lost
Good:
70% freethrow shooting is much improved
43% from the three
Dewan Clayborn and his 23 points
Much better showing all around
2nd half
Miles only played 17 minutes?
Now on to UNLV on the 28th and then conference play
